Pressure Balanced Extended Float Valve

Pressure Balanced Extended Float Valve (FWD)

Product Code: FWD

Basic Applications:

he FWD unit is used along with the DH unit in order to reduce the energy costs of pumps by monitoring water levels that differ greatly.

Product Description:

These pilot valves are designed to fully open when the water level reaches the preset low level and to close drip-tight when the level reaches the preset high point. In addition they maintain a constant inlet pressure.

Features:

  • Fully Adjustable to Maintain Desired Level Settings
  • Design Features Prevent Clogging, Jamming, and Overflow
  • Optional Wave Suppression Feature
  • Bronze Prevents Contamination of Potable Water
  • Float Never Pollutes Potable Water
The opening and closing function of the main valve is controlled by the pressure that goes through the diaphragm chamber from the inlet side of the main valve to the pilot valve. When the water level rises to the close position of the pilot valve, the inlet pressure remains inside the diaphragm chamber of the main valve; thus pressure pushes the diaphragm downwards and the valve seat will be closed. After the water level drops to the open position of the pilot valve, the pressure remaining inside the diaphragm chamber will be discharged into the tank. Then the inlet pressure pushed the diaphragm upwards and the valve seat till open.

The DH unit is equipped with a Sustaining Valve. This valve ensures that the inlet pressure never goes below a specified level. Thus ensuring the constant supply of water to the entire system, solving the system problem of peak-cut.

The DH is also equipped with a perforated strainer that lengthens the life of the diaphragm. The adjustable spindle enables full control of the flow rate. The top cover features easy access for maintenance.
